🟢 LIMINAL GLITCHCORE WORKSHOP


1- PROPOSAL

 In times of collective dissociation and digital anxieties, the beauty of error (glitch) presents itself before us as one of the most interesting forms of expression to investigate and apply. Aesthetic genres such as glitchcore, dreamcore and weirdcore share in many cases a presence of this error, and especially the Liminal as transition spaces.

 In this workshop we will try to unravel in detail the relationships between these concepts and genres with the aim of learning, researching, sharing and creating from discovering how they work and what is behind these visual and conceptual discourses in the current digital age.  

The proposal consists of a series of 6 online meetings during which we explore the genres mentioned and exchange ideas and techniques of digital creation of both image and audio and video. As a final project made together by the participants, the idea is to build a proposal to exhibit digitally entitled "liminal glitchcore". The exhibition will serve as a record of the activities carried out during the workshop and will be published and archived on the website nikpepsi.art

 Well there, if you are interested in glitch images, the aesthetics of the internet era, the rarest and most experimental ones, the mystery, the unknown, the liminal and the simply WEIRD kind of images... If you are moved and caught by the idea of realities that seem to be broken or interfered, if you like what disorients, challenge and reduce the being that observes its purest and sometimes more hidden and primitive nature. If you can say YES to all that, then this workshop is FOR YOU.

 About the meetings: The meetings will be held during the months of September and October and the material seen in each one can be downloaded and freely accessible to the participants of the workshop. We will coordinate one day and schedule a week with the registered participants of the workshop for the convenience and time availability of the entire group.

5- REQUIREMENTS AND REGISTRATION

The requirements to participate are as follows:

HOW TO REGISTER:

2) Complete the corresponding payment. Once the payment is completed, you will receive a message confirming your registration along with access to the first reading and viewing material prior to the first meeting.

About scholarships (limited places):

 For those interested in applying for the available scholarships, keep in mind that availability is limited and the criteria for the award of them will take into account the profile of the artist, background and country of residence as a reference of socioeconomic reality. To apply, simply complete the registration form mentioned above in the registration steps and select the scholarship option requested. The number of scholarships is limited and the selection criteria can finally be 100% random (because that's life sometimes lol).
